About Me: The Perpetually Tired Traveler Who Still Somehow Loves This
Let’s be real: travel isn’t all glamorous photos and perfectly curated itineraries. It’s also about missed connections, sleepless flights, and the constant battle between seeing the world and wanting to plant your face into the nearest pillow. That’s where I come in. I'm the perpetually tired traveler behind this blog, where I document my adventures (and frequent naps) across the globe.
But who am I, really? To help answer that, I’ve put together a little interview with… well, me. Get comfy; let’s dive into why I started "Travel Fatigue Chronicles", my love of adventure (and sleep), and what keeps me going on this wild ride around the world. Spoiler alert: it involves a lot of coffee.

So, who am I and what made me start this blog?

I’m just your average guy who fell in love with travel at an early age, but with a twist. I started my adventures by hanging out at airports, watching planes take off, and daydreaming about far-off lands. While most kids were playing sports, I was mentally booking flights to who-knows-where. One of my earliest trips? Oh, that would be Norway and Sweden with a bunch of friends and a wildly ambitious (and totally impractical) plan. We had a whole “budget” strategy that involved sleeping on trains to save money, eating once a day (because, who needs breakfast and lunch?), and camping in random city parks because hotels are for the weak. Someone even floated the idea of driving to the North Pole—no joke. Every plan we made was a little crazier than the last, but somehow it all felt perfectly reasonable at the time. We laughed so much during that trip!
My love for travel has been a lifelong obsession that just kept growing stronger! What started as a fascination with new places quickly turned into a full-blown passion for experiencing every corner of the globe. I’ve always been drawn to discovering different cultures, and that curiosity has led me to live on three different continents so far. Each place I’ve called home has taught me something new and given me a unique perspective on the world. There’s just something so thrilling about stepping into the unknown, learning new customs, tasting new foods, and immersing myself in the heart of a place I’ve never been. For me, travel isn’t just a hobby—it’s a way of life!
These days, I’m still exploring new places, but with a side of exhaustion that’s all too familiar. And that’s exactly why I started "Travel Fatigue Chronicles" to share the wild, wonderful, and often exhausting side of global adventures. All my travels have taught me one thing: jet-setting is way more exhausting than it looks.
Why start a blog about being tired? Isn’t that… counterproductive?

You’d think, right? But here’s the thing: being tired is the real travel experience!
Everyone talks about the highlights: the sunsets, the epic hikes, the gourmet meals
but no one talks about the part where you’re desperately trying to stay awake during
a museum tour after a red-eye flight, or when your feet ache after walking 12 miles in
a new city, but you’re too stubborn to take a break. "Travel Fatigue Chronicles" is my
tribute to those moments. It’s for anyone who loves adventure but secretly dreams of
a nap halfway through. It’s also my not-so-subtle way of saying, “Hey, it’s okay to be
tired; just grab a coffee and keep going!” It’s not just about the exhaustion but about
finding the balance between exploring and resting, and how the blog is an honest
(and funny) take on the realities of travel.
What’s my travel style?

Comfort, with a capital "C." Camping? Only if there’s a mattress, pillows, and maybe some candles to set the mood. Otherwise, I’m out. I’m pretty flexible with accommodation whether it's a questionable roadside motel or a 5-star resort on the beach, I’m fine as long as there are walls around me and a functioning bathroom. Hiking? Let’s just say I’ll always check the trail length first. More than 5 miles? Hard pass. As for food, I’m open to trying just about anything… except broccoli. That’s where I draw the line. Airports? Used to love them, fascinated by the logistics, but now? Delays, cancellations, and the agent at the counter who spends 20 minutes typing like they're hacking into the Pentagon, only to finally say, “Your flight’s delayed!"
How do I stay awake and energized on my travels?

It’s a strategic operation, really: coffee, donuts, and naps - my secret travel kit. Coffee is
the fuel to kickstart my day and keep my eyes open, donuts are the perfect sugary
motivation to keep moving, and naps? Well, naps are non-negotiable. Whether it’s a quick
snooze in the car, a nap between destinations, or passing out on the plane, I make sure to
sneak one in. It’s all about balance: caffeine, sugar, and rest. I’ve practically perfected the
art of staying awake just long enough to enjoy the trip before the next nap break! If you're
feeling generous (or just amused by my ongoing battle against travel fatigue), feel free to
check out my Stay-Awake Toolkit; you can gift me something to keep me vertical, or simply
Buy Me A Coffee. Either way, you’ll be fueling my next nap-avoiding adventure (and you'll
be keeping this blog alive)!

What are my favorite travel destinations, and why?

Oh, I’ve got a mix of favorites! Asia is high on the list because it's like stepping into a completely different universe; everything is so unique, from the food to the culture. It’s like a never-ending adventure where you’re constantly amazed… and slightly confused, which is part of the fun! Then there’s Hawaii, which is just stunning. I mean, who doesn’t like paradise? Also, the U.S. National Parks! Those parks are like nature’s greatest hits album. I am always ready to go explore what America has to offer. Another recent favorite is Iceland! Iceland is pure magic, like stepping right into a dream. From the moment you arrive, it feels like you’re on another planet, breathtaking landscapes around every corner, with waterfalls, volcanoes, and endless open spaces.

What advice do I have for fellow exhausted travelers?

First off, pace yourself! Travel isn’t a race, unless you count racing back to the
hotel for a nap. Know your limits: If that hike looks more than 5 miles, don’t let
anyone guilt you into going. There’s no shame in enjoying the view from the parking
lot. Take breaks, find a shady spot, and hydrate like you’re training for a marathon,
even if you’re just walking around a museum. And never underestimate the power
of a well-timed nap. I swear by them, strategically placed naps are the key to surviving
any trip without turning into a zombie by day two. Plus, let’s face it, nobody wants to
experience an ancient temple while desperately craving a nap.

Thanks for sticking around and diving into my travel tales, I promise I’m not this tired all the time (only on alternate Tuesdays). If you're craving more visual proof that I actually travel and don’t just nap in strange places, check out my Instagram for pictures of my adventures. Who knows? You might even spot me in the wild, struggling to stay awake while hiking on a trail!
